"This book on India's economic policies and performance is based on conversations with ten of India's renowned economists. The conversations cover a wide terrain from the philosophical and ideological underpinnings of the State-led import-substitution industrialisation strategy India pursued for more than three decades to the prospects for the new economic policy inaugurated in 1991.
