Abstract : Discusses the history of and key figures associated with two green revolutions. One consists of the tremendous strides made in agriculture due to the introduction of heartier and more disease-resistant plant varieties, genetically modified crops, pesticide and insecticide advances, and improved cultivation techniques that yield more food products and that hold the promise of feeding the world. The other consists of environmental movements and conservation efforts to ensure a safe living environment and ecological balance.
